Common Browser Extension Problems and Fixes

To make sure you have all the information and possible solutions, here is a list of solutions to the issue of the browser extension not working.

a) Open a new tab in your Chrome browser and navigate to chrome://extensions . Find FeedbackPanda in the list of all extensions. The "enabled" switch on the bottom right should be blue. If it's gray, set it to blue. It should look like this:

Once it looks like this, refresh all VIPKID classrooms and classroom list website. The panda buttons should now appear on the right side.

If the extension can not be found in that list, go to and install the browser extension from there.

b) If the extension is not yet visible but switched on like shown above, restart your computer (best shutting it down, waiting more than 30sec and then starting it again). This will reset all memory-based issues as the system will start fresh.

c) If that does not help, you might want to consider signing out of Chrome (and here I mean the login option inside Chrome itself in the top right corner, right under the tab bar, on the same line as where you enter web addresses). Then sign in again. This will also reset internal data caches.

My experience with Chrome is that it needs a good reboot every few weeks, particularly if you use it every single day. It also disables the browser extension every now and then, particularly when the extension or Chrome itself gets updated.

If all this fails, please consider installing Mozilla Firefox and use that until your Chrome can be repaired / repairs itself. Install Firefox, install the FeedbackPanda Firefox Extension, sign into VIPKID (or any other school you work for), sign into FeedbackPanda. Then use this browser as an interim means to create Feedback. You can find Firefox at and information on how to install the FeedbackPanda Firefox extension at

Updating the Browser Extension

Whenever we update our browser extension to correct for changes in the teaching portals, it might take a while for the new version to be automatically updated on your computer.

Here are the steps to manually update to the newest version if you want to speed up the process:

  • Open Google Chrome on your computer. Open a new tab.
  • In the address bar, type chrome://extensions. Alternatively, you may go to the hamburger icon (three horizontal lines) on the top-right > More Tools. Now click Extensions.
  • At the top of the extensions page, check Developer mode. This is next to the big Extensions text right at the top.
  • Click Update extensions now under Developer mode.

This should update your extension to the latest version.

For Firefox or Edge users, please refer to the Extension sections of your browser config to update to the latest version. All supported browsers will eventually update to the new version.
